Clover Garden School is a dynamic, tuition-free K-12 public charter school located in Burlington, North Carolina. Established in 2001, we serve a diverse community of over 960 students from Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Orange, and Wake counties. General Responsibilities:
- In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment.
Essential Tasks:
- Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback where applicable.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including during lunch, recess, and transitions.
- Report any incidents or issues to school administration promptly.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience, Effective Substitute Teacher Training Certification
- Previous experience in a teaching or educational
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings and grade levels.
Physical Requirements:
- Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
